Prof. Dada is a registered quantity surveyor and a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors. He had his primary education between 1977 and 1983 and completed his secondary education in 1988. He graduated in 1997 with BSc. (Hons) in Quantity Surveying from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. Before commencing his academic career, he worked briefly as a Quantity Surveyor on some building projects before joining the staff of the Department of Quantity Surveying at Obafemi Awolowo University, in 1999, as a Graduate Assistant. He bagged his PhD in Quantity Surveying in 2012 and rose through the ranks to become a Professor of Quantity Surveying in 2018.

Academic and Professional Achievements
As an academia and researcher, Prof. Dada’s major research interest is in competence of quantity surveyors, professional practice, risk management in construction, cost modeling and prediction of construction activities. He has published widely in reputable national and international journals and has presented papers in different workshops and conferences both locally and internationally. He has served as reviewer for a number of local and international journals and has served has external examiner to quite a number of academic institutions offering quantity surveying in Nigeria. As a registered professional, he is actively involved in professional consultancy. Prof. Dada have had varied professional experiences in building and engineering construction projects in Nigeria. The experience garner in his professional career has really help and assisted in his academic endeavour.

Previous/Current Appointments and Services

Prof. Dada has served as resource persons to professional workshops and conference with the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and the Nigerian Institute of Building. He is a Past Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, Osun State Chapter and served as member of the National Executive Council of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors between 2017 and 2018. At the international level, he is currently representing the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors in the Education, Research and Technical Board of the African Association of Quantity Surveyors (AAQS). At Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, He has served and currently serving in various Committees. Specifically, He has served as Past Head of Quantity Surveying Department and the immediate Vice Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Design and Management. Prof. Dada is an ordained Pastor in Christ Apostolic Church Mission (worldwide) and he is happily married with children.
