Dr.  Kasimu A. Mohammed was born several years ago to the renowned family of Alhaji Ahmadu Mohammed from Katcha Local Government of Niger State, Nigeria. He demonstrated hardworking, intelligence, reliable, time keeper and commitment from his early years in life starting from primary school, when he was Head prefect.  He also participated in various extracurricular activities such as football, volleyball and Basketball in his secondary school days.

He graduated with flying colours in 1990 which earned him an admission into the Federal University of Technology Minna, where he studied Quantity Surveying. Kasimu Alhaji Mohammed graduated with honours and earned a B.Tech in Quantity Surveying in late 90s. He gained admission into the University of Jos to studied MSc Construction Management in 2007 to 2009. Based on his performance proceed to Univerisiti Technologi Malaysia (UTM) in 2011 to studied Ph.D Quantity Surveying. He graduated in 2014 and was given an award of Best Ph.D Student in the college of Built Environment.

His career took off when he was called to served his nation for Mandatory National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) in Abia State Ministry of Work and Housing Umuahia. He served diligently as a project Quantity Surveyor. Thereafter, he got appointed into the Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi which now known as Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic Birinin Kebbi, as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Quantity Surveying. Later, transferred his services to the Federal Polytechnic, Bida. Niger State. He has been serving the Polytechnic excellently and has risen through the ranks. Dr Kasimu A. Mohammed has risen to the rank of Chief Lecturersince 2019 in the Department of Quantity Surveying. He was two-time Head of Department, Pioneer Director, Directorate of commercialisation and Transfer of Technology and Director, Directorate for Continuing Education (DCE) and Presently, Memeber of Rector Advisories committee.

Professionally, Dr. Kasimu.A Mohammed has earned membership as registered member of Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) Registered Quantity Surveyors with Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria (QSRBN). He has over the course of his careers attended several workshops, seminars, and conferences within and outside the state. Mostly organised by the NIQS and QSRBN respectively.

He had been and still a great support and pillar in Quantity Surveying profession. He has participated actively in the state Chapters activities since he became the member of the institute. He was one-time State Chapter Secretary General, Member of Education and Training Committee of NIQS 2017 to 2019; Member of Examination Board of NIQS 2017 to 2019 and Treasurer, Association of Quantity Surveyors Lecturers/Educators (AQSLE) 2017 to date.    

His dedication to the progress of Quantity Surveying profession is unmatched as he has consistently volunteered his services as a tutor in the Institute Chapter Tutorial and also visiting senior lecturer in the Department of Quantity Surveying, Federal University of Technology Minna, Niger State, 2014 to 2022 and Visiting senior lecturer Department of Quantity Surveying, University of Ilorin 2014 to 2019. He is happily married to Aishat Kasimu Mohammed and blessed with 5 beautiful children.
